FREE BOOKS

Reading is an issue of social justice that tops the list of 10 fundamental Human Rights according to the International Literacy Association (ILA). We believe that reading should be available to all, completely free of charge.

Are the books truly FREE?

Yes! All our book are completely free of charge. Donations to help support the charity are welcome however the books are free and their is no compulsion to donate.

So what’s the CATCH?

There is no catch! We receive donations of books and through our “GET Free Books” shops, we make these available into communities across the UK, completely free of charge.

How can I get involved?

First of all, please visit one of our shops and keep Britain reading! Secondly, we are always in need of book donations so if your loft is full or your bookshelves are creaking, donate your books today and give them another chance to be read.

Volunteering at GET has been a fantastic way to meet new people in a relaxed but productive environment, get stuck in and contribute to the community. It’s brilliant and really motivating to see how much it’s utilised and appreciated by so many people locally.
