Our mission is to make reading free and available to all.
At the Global Educational Trust we believe that the ability to read is the cornerstone of educational success and a love of reading will last a life-time yet almost 1 billion people entered the 21st Century unable to read a book or sign their own name.
In the UK:
• 1 in 6 adults have issues with literacy
• In London 1 in 3 parents cannot read to their children
• 3.87 million children do not own a single book
• 4 million children live in poverty
At the Global Educational Trust, we believe that education and literacy skills help individuals lead a happy and successful life, and needless to say, provide the opportunity for people to become leaders, pioneers and visionaries which is ultimately beneficial to us all.
We aim to make reading free and available to all by distributing FREE Books into society.
